A Cappella Academy co-founder, Avi Kaplan, an ex-member of Pentatonix, had a simple idea: to create a summer camp where talented young musicians could come to learn and share his love of vocal music.
About[]
A intensive 10-day summer vocal music program is designed to train, foster, and inspire the bright young minds of contemporary a cappella. Held in Los Angeles, this international program is open to students ages 12-18 from all countries, and is by audition only.
The goal is to provide motivated, talented young artists with a unique creative environment where they can develop their skills as vocalists, beatboxers, arrangers, music directors, songwriters, engineers, and producers. We’re bringing together some of the most forward-thinking minds in the field of a cappella to help our campers discover new skills, and to hone the skills they already have. All the while, our campers create close friendships working alongside peers from all over the world.
Scholarship Found[]
"In Summer 2020, we lost a beloved member of our A Cappella Academy family at the age of 15. Nolan Gibbons was a joyful, dedicated, and immensely talented musician and we cherish our memories of him. To honor his legacy, we are proud to offer a scholarship in his name. The Nolan Gibbons Scholarship will enable future campers to join our community, and to experience a deeper love for music — something Nolan exemplified every day."
A Cappella Academy want to be accessible to all qualified students, regardless of financial need. It is only with the support of the wider community that they are able to keep tuition costs low and offer scholarships.
Due to the lost of Gibbons it was created The Nolan Gibbons Scholarship in his memory.
