Kelvin Dukes (born October 12, 2005) is an American singer and songwriter.
Career[]
Dukes began singing at the age of 3, and started performing professionally when he was 8.
In 2018 he entered and won first place for vocals in the Montgomery County’s MoCo Got Talent competition. He has since gone on to be featured on a number of media outlets, including Fox5, and The Tony Redz Show. He released his first single, Work for It, in 2019, and has been producing music ever since, his latest being 2022’s Call Me When You Get Home.
2020: American's Got Talent[]
In 2020,14-year-old Kelvin audition to AGT by singing "Ain't No Way" by Aretha Franklin. Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes," sending Kelvin to the next round. The episode aired on June 2, 2020.
On Judge Cuts, Dukes automatically advanced to the Quarterfinals without performing. The Quarterfinals he performed The Zutons' "Valerie" He did not receive enough votes to advance to the Semifinals eliminating him from the competition.
2022- present: Acapop! Kids[]
On July 12, 2022, He performed with Acapop! Kids on AGT by singing "My Turn" by Nolan Gibbons which honers him, They got all "YES".
On August 30, 2022, Kelvin performed again with Acapop! Kids on AGT's semifinal by singing "Glow", an original song. The group didn' t receive enough votes to enter the Top 5 on the night, eliminating them from the competition.
